Fanfare for Four

for 4 trumpets or 4 horns (2000)

Fanfare for Four is a short work in the tradition of the many other fanfares for brass written along the 20th century. It is a polytonal divertimento for 4 equal brass instruments, each playing the same melody in a different key and in various canonic combinations. It can be performed by 4 trumpets (in C or in Bb) as well as 4 horns, the performers always playing the written pitch.
